This signature Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation event is affectionately named for the "little heroes" that they support facing childhood cancer. TBCF will be honoring valued partner, Cottage Health, and feature keynote speaker and pediatric cancer survivor, Jake Olson, as well as emcee, Brian Phelps. Solar & Battery Storage Workshop with Brighten Solar and EDC

EDC and Brighten Solar are partnering up to install more solar panels in our Santa Barbara community!
If you are a homeowner and interested in solar energy and/or battery backup for your home, please join us for this solar workshop where we will discuss the technology and how solar and battery back-up systems work in California.
This session aims to answer any solar-related questions you may have, and provide information about the EDC solar program.
For each system installed by Brighten Solar for an EDC supporter, Brighten Solar will donate $500 to EDC!

Victory Vegetable Gardening Classes for the True Beginner

University of California Master Gardeners of Santa Barbara County announce an online series of gardening classes for true beginners, modeled after the popular World War II Victory Vegetable Gardens. The four classes take attendees through the basics of successful vegetable gardening in our area.

As the most decorated track and field Olympian in history, Allyson Felix is a nine-time Olympic medalist, six-time Olympic champion, world record holder and one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. An outspoken critic of pregnancy discrimination in athletics, an advocate for underserved children and a proponent of maternity rights, Felix shares her experiences with racism and discrimination even as a professional athlete. As she gears up for the Tokyo Olympics, Felix remains at the forefront of the fight for equality for all – in sports and in life.

This conversation with Dr. Ingrid Banks, Chair of the UC Santa Barbara Department of Black Studies, will be followed by a Q&A.
