The Los Angeles-based modern trio romántico Tres Souls are known for reviving the nostalgic boleros of the 1940s-1960s, stylized during the Golden Era of Mexican cinema. With expert musicianship and expert vocals, Rocio Mendoza, Roberto Carlos, and Jesus Martinez are “capturing the hearts of Angelenos, one ballad at a time” (ABC7).
Running Scared Productions presents Roy Orbison Returns on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 7:30 PM. Wily Ray & the Big O Band, a nationally touring musical group paying tribute to one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time. Wily, an expert on all things Roy, was a fan from the earliest days of Roy’s career. Roy Orbison Returns was created to introduce a new generation to Roy’s music with a fully scripted musical theater recreation of Roy Orbison’s 1980’s Black & White Night Concert era being faithful to Roy’s setlists & musical arrangements.

This all-Beethoven and Beethoven-influenced program renews our enduring collaborative relationship with Ensemble Theatre Company’s Artistic Director, Jonathan Fox, who will direct the West Coast premiere of Ella Milch-Sheriff’s staged monodrama, The Eternal Stranger (based on a dream by Beethoven). Beethoven’s poetic Piano Concerto No. 4, and the composer’s brilliant Symphony No. 4. conclude the program.
