Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation presents Journey Through Jazz with Santa Barbara Charter School Monday, February 27, 2023 at 7:15 PM. The “Journey Through Jazz” program not only serves to teach vocal Jazz and Jazz history within the regular school day, but to introduce a desire in our youth for any type of musical or theatrical pursuit.
The Hope Awards celebrates our local heroes of public education. This year we will honor Senator Monique Limón and former San Marcos Athletic Director Abe Jahadhmy in recognition of their support of students. The evening begins with a reception featuring student performances and demonstrations paired with fine food and beverages from local restaurants, wineries, and breweries. This year we’re highlighting the impact of teachers in our community, with proceeds from the evening supporting our popular Teacher Grants program.
