Directed by Robert Koenig, the UCSB Chamber Players will present an evening of chamber music favorites on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall. The UCSB Chamber Players consist of a variety of ensembles, from duos to quintets and occasionally larger groups, which study and perform masterpieces of the chamber music literature.
Inside Wine Santa Barbara will host a series of 3 virtual winemaker tastings to be conducted via the videoconferencing app Zoom in the month of May and June. Participants will purchase the wines online in advance of a tasting. Each winemaker will lead participants through an online tasting of the wines while discussing winemaking techniques and philosophy. Participants can join one or all tastings, which will be held on Thursday evenings beginning at 5:15 pm. May 7th features internationally-known winemaker Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon.
Writers of all levels are invited to participate in this informal exploration of the Museum's galleries as an impetus to writing. Each session is led by a visiting writer/facilitator who begins with a conversation and prompts, partially inspired by works on view. Participants are free to write on their own and then reconvene as a group to share and comment on each other's work. Please bring a journal or notebook, laptop, or tablet on which to write.
