Umijoo, a newly released children’s book, written by Casson Trenor and beautifully illustrated by Caia Koopman, is about ocean conservation. A 72-page fully hand-painted story, Umijoo is about a curious girl who, with the help of a little magic, journeys deep underwater and learns about love, responsibility, and balance from her undersea adventures. It targets ages 8-11, but the art and themes are designed to enchant readers of all ages. Mr. Trenor will read the story and be available to autograph books.

Explore the crossover between art and music, as well as the work of artists who make art using sound and space instead of more traditional tools. Create, collaborate, and participate in making music and other natural and invented sounds a part of the art you imagine and build. Students have the opportunity to see and hear the instrument created by Chris Kallmyer and installed in the Museum galleries—and may even be part of the performance!
