This week “Solutions News Radio” will welcome Dr. Brian Von Herzen

WHAT: This week’s “Solutions News” live radio broadcast will interview Dr. Brian Von Herzen, Executive Director of the Climate Foundation
WHEN: 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2019
WHERE: Tune in to KZSB, AM 1290.

On this episode of Solutions News, we welcome Dr. Brian Von Herzen, the Executive Director of the Climate Foundation, who’ll be talking with us about marine permaculture and some amazing things he’s developing to help the world. Our topics today are focused on the ocean: first a story about how bacterial microbes “eat” carbon dioxide all while providing a food source for fish and cleaning up industrial waste in the meantime, and another about how man-made artifacts in the oceans are being turned into marine habitats where life is thriving! Later on, we have some great didyaknows, and a final story on some health benefits of eating ocean greens.

Solutions News with Rinaldo Brutoco is a weekly radio show produced by Kristy Jansen and the World Business Academy. Guided by the motto that there are more solutions in the world than problems, Solutions News seeks to educate, inform and inspire its audience.

The Christmas Revels

The Christmas Revels: A Venetian Celebration of the Winter Solstice is a joyous theatrical celebration set in Renaissance Italy. Venice’s “Festival of Fishes” is fast approaching. Performing groups vie for selection to perform for the festivities. A traveling commedia dell’arte troupe is desperately eager to participate, but the Magistrato in charge of selection is determined that the lowest class of citizens – actors – be excluded from the lineup.

Our Revels company is joined by accomplished guest artists, including the SBCC Sackbut Ensemble. The Christmas Revels is an exciting and heartwarming entertainment experience for every age and a favorite Santa Barbara holiday tradition created by and for our community for the past 12 years.
