Land Trust Treks: Parma Park

Join for a 2 mile, walk at Parma Park, Santa Barbara's largest city park. We will take in the great views and check out the wildflowers and talk about the history of Parma Park. The hike is moderate with some elevation, mostly walking under shaded woodland canopies.

This hike is part of the Land Trust Treks program, a series of guided hikes encouraging people to explore scenic Santa Barbara County. The Land Trust complies with COVID19 state and county guidelines. In accordance with county regulations, small group hikes are limited in size.

Undergraduate Student Recital: Noelle Barr, Violin

Undergraduate violinist Noelle Barr will present a virtual Bachelor of Arts recital with pianist Erik Lawrence on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 6 pm PDT as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music’s YouTube channel. The program will include works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Barr is a student of UC Santa Barbara Lecturer Ertan Torgul.

Undergraduate Student Recital: Olivia Nava, Low Brass

Undergraduate low brass student Olivia Nava will present a virtual senior Bachelor of Music recital, titled "Among Flowers," with pianist Dr. Natasha Kislenko (UC Santa Barbara faculty member) on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 6 pm PDT as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music’s YouTube channel. The program will include excerpts from David W. Brubeck's Stereograms, Alexander Lebedev's Concerto in One Movement for Tuba and Piano, Halsey Stevens' Sonatina for Tuba and Piano, and Thom Ritter Georg's Concerto for Bass Trombone and Orchestra. Nava is a student of UC Santa Barbara Recall Continuing Lecturer William Booth.
