Halloween Monster Mash at Paseo Nuevo

HALLOWEEN IS A REAL TREAT AT PASEO NUEVO
Monster Mash Coming to Santa Barbara October 29

Fall has officially arrived, and Paseo Nuevo is excited to host its annual Halloween Monster Mash on Saturday, October 29 in Center Court. All members of the community are invited to Paseo Nuevo, located in the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara, for a family-friendly Halloween event. This event is free and open to the public, so everyone is encouraged to stop by and join in on the festivities.

Paseo Nuevo invites children and families to fill the center with their spookiest and sparkliest costumes in search of sweet tricks and treats. This community event is an opportunity for children to dress up in their best costumes and trick-or-treat in a safe environment. Participating retailers throughout Paseo Nuevo, as well as other downtown businesses, will be handing out candy, while supplies last, from 3pm to 6pm.

Attendees can take a stroll down Paseo Nuevo’s version of a haunted house – a creepy corridor that will be decorated with all things spooky. In addition to trick-or-treating, guests can enjoy inflatable decorations and a Halloween-themed float. BOO-gying is encouraged, as there will be a live DJ playing Halloween tunes in Center Court for a costume dance party. Prizes will be randomly handed out to the best dressed costumes, and the first 300 kids to arrive (ages 4-11) will be gifted a backpack with candy.

Most Beautiful Christmas Trees at Trinity Lutheran Tree Lot

THE FRESHEST, MOST BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREES IN SANTA BARBARA: Trinity Lutheran Church Tree Lot continues a long standing tradition of offering the freshest Christmas trees in Santa Barbara. Come early to select your tree. Noble Firs range in size from 3 feet to 8 feet – something for an apartment or a large tree for a picture window. Trinity Tree Lot sells fresh-cut trees from Holiday Tree Farms in Oregon.
The Trinity Tree Lot opens November 26, 9 am and will remain open until 7 pm. The lot will then open weekdays 4 pm to 7 pm, and weekends 9 am to 7 pm until all trees are sold.
Workers will trim the trunk of the tree and help families load the trees into vehicles. The Trinity Tree Lot also features full, fragrant wreaths for sale.
The proceeds from the Trinity Lutheran Church Tree Lot benefit Trinity Gardens, a non-profit organization, who grows organic produce to meet the food needs of our community, and provides gardening and food education. The harvesting of garden produce is donated to the Grace Food Pantry. An orchard in the garden provides fruit to feed the hungry in Santa Barbara.
Funds raised by the Tree Lot also support Grace Food Pantry, which provides healthy and nutritional foods, including “kitchen-less kits” for clients who lack access to cooking facilities.
“It is such a great tradition to buy your family tree at Trinity Lutheran Church Tree Lot and know that you not only will get a healthy, fresh tree, but you are supporting two programs that help feed our neighbors who are food insecure,” says Pastor Mark Marius of Trinity Lutheran Church. “Christmas is a time of giving and the funds we raise from the Tree Lot at Trinity benefit so many of our friends in Santa Barbara.”
