Winter After-School Multimedia Class

Combine materials and techniques to create mixed media pieces that include painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Depictions of birds and trees crossing cultures and time in the Museum’s collections will ignite imaginations and inspire both individual and collaborative creations.

The Peaceful Sea: Paintings by Kevin A. Short

Continuing its celebration of coastal living, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM) is thrilled to present The Peaceful Sea: Paintings by Kevin A. Short, an exhibition featuring more than 30 seascapes and ocean-themed landscapes by the renowned contemporary painter and Santa Barbara native. Thanks to the generous support of Mimi Michaelis, June G. Outhwaite Charitable Trust, Alice Tweed Tuohy Foundation, the Wood-Claeyssens Foundation, and American Rivera Bank, the presentation will be on view to the public from August 11 through December 31, 2022.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover: Harry Potter Edition

Drop off your favorite stuffie at Goleta Valley Library on Fri, 10/28 between 2– 5p.m. for an overnight adventure of Harry Potter-themed wizarding adventures. When you pick them up the next day on Sat, 10/29 between 2–5p.m., you will receive an enchanting goody bag and keepsake photos of their magical visit to Hogwarts!

Lobero LIVE presents Andrew Duhon and Haley Johnsen, Friday, October 28, 2022 at 7:30 PM. New Orleans native Andrew Duhon is a singer/songwriter with an undeniable voice, both weighted and soulful. He has toured solo for much of his career, and that troubadour element is certainly present – an usher of modern-day folklore. Opening the show is Haley Johnsen, a Portland, Oregon-born musician recognized for her soaring vocals, introspective lyricism, and cross-pollinated style of indie-pop and bluesy folk-rock.
