The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum has been closed for the duration of the pandemic and may not be able to reopen until the end of the year. In a pilot program to make opera more accessible to North County residents, Opera SB will be offering free bus transportation for residents to the Sunday Matinee performance of its first opera sung in Spanish, Mexican-American composer Daniel Catán’s Il Postino (The Postman) on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:30pm at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E Canon Perdido St.

Students from UC Santa Barbara University Carillonist Wesley Arai's studio will present a recital from the carillon in UC Santa Barbara's Storke Tower on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 10 am. Listeners are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on the grass outside the tower during the recital.
