On this episode of Solutions News, we will talk with David Sansone, an agroforestry and permaculture designer on the Big Island, who also designs educational programs on climate friendly agriculture in Hawaii for the Kohala Center. Inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka’s “Natural Farming”, he practices a “no-till, no work” strategy, which aims for the least effort to get the most outcome. He currently maintains several research gardens on windward Hawai’i Island where he has worked with over 400 species to assess their tolerances, habits, and ability to co-exist with other species. We are thrilled to welcome Dave and hear more about climate friendly agriculture and how this works in a sub-tropical setting like Hawaii.
