Surfrider Foundation General Meeting

Join Surfrider for our April 18 General Meeting and social at the Watershed Resource Center at Hendry’s Beach at 7 PM for an amazing, don’t-miss screening of the remarkable documentary “Broke.” The film, by former environmental attorney, UCSB lecturer and researcher, environmental activist, and documentary filmmaker Gail Osherenko documents the events of the May 19, 2015, rupture of Plains All
American Pipeline’s oil pipe that spilled around 140,000 gallons of toxic oil onto the coast with unknown amounts entering the ocean near Refugio. In addition Maggie Hall, an attorney for EDC, will be there to provide additional information, give updates on the legal issues, and answer questions. As always, this meeting is free to all (contributions gratefully accepted, however!), with pizza and light refreshments
provided. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow environmentalists, concerned surfers, and others
who care about the ocean.
