Santa Barbara Channelkeeper is pleased to present the 22nd Blue Water Ball on Saturday, March 16th at the seaside Cabrillo Pavilion. The Blue Water Ball raises critical funds that make it possible for the organization to protect local beaches, creeks, and coast, and defend the community’s right to clean water and healthy habitats.
The Blue Water Ball brings together ocean enthusiasts and activists, civic leaders, business owners, and public officials for a lively and memorable evening of celebration. This year, Ryan Gellert, CEO of Patagonia, will join the program as an inspired and thought-provoking speaker in “A Channelside Chat” with Channelkeeper Executive Director Ted Morton. Santa Barbara luminary Andrew Firestone will emcee. Guests will also enjoy a multicourse dinner, local wines and brews, live music, a fun raffle, auctions for art, gear, outdoor adventures, and more.
“We look forward to gathering with our community of supporters,” says Executive Director Ted Morton. “We’re excited to honor the many positive actions that Channelkeeper has achieved for clean water in our area and highlight the important work ahead.”
Channelkeeper works to protect and restore the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds through science-based advocacy, education, fieldwork, and enforcement. We invite community members to celebrate the impressive impact that Channelkeeper is making in this special part of the California coast and raise a glass to the exciting environmental initiatives on the horizon.
