The Goleta Valley Art Association will hold its annual Picassos4Peanuts show and sale, featuring original art by local artists, at the Goleta Valley Public Library, 500 N. Fairview Ave. The show will be open December 2 through December 28th. Hours are 10 am-7 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 pm Friday and Saturday and 1-5 pm Sundays.
The show, which features paintings for $300 or less, will offer the work of local artists in a wide range of media and styles and presents the opportunity for the community to support them.
On Sunday, December 17 from 4-6 p.m., a reception will showcase crafts created by 16 GVAA members, in addition to the wall art. The public is welcome to attend and do holiday shopping while enjoying a wide variety of creative products, including ornaments, glassware, totes, cards and more.
An additional opportunity for visitors will be the purchase of paintings by the late Florence Russell, a longtime member of GVAA. Her works will be available for sale to support GVAA’s after school art programs at Isla Vista, La Patera, El Camino, Brandon schools in the Goleta Union School District.
