In nature, everyone belongs! Join Santa Barbara Nature Connection Walks for a mindful experience at low tide led by certified guide Tamara Murray, benefitting marine wildlife rescue and rehabilitation group Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute.
JULY 8, 2023
10:00 – 11:30 AM
ARROYO BURRO (HENDRY’S) BEACH
WHAT IS NATURE BATHING?
No actual bathing involved! We’ll explore the tide pools and bluffs on the quieter side of Hendry’s Beach. This mindful-yet-playful walk is focused on decompressing and tuning into your senses and nature. This small-group experience is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, which translates to “forest bathing” and is associated with health and well-being.
BENEFITTING CHANNEL ISLANDS MARINE & WILDLIFE INSTITUTE
100% of the funds collected will be donated to the Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute, a nonprofit giving marine mammals a second chance. Due to a toxic algae bloom, hundreds of sick sea lions and dolphins have been washing up on Santa Barbara & Ventura beaches in need of care. Let’s support their inspiring and important work to rescue and rehabilitate our fellow beings.
