December 4, 2021—3 pm to 6 pm.
The Lobster Town U.S.A. Gallery at 3823 Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria is holding their grand opening on December 4.
Currently featured at the Gallery are distinguished artists John Randall Nelson, Brad Nack and Wesley Anderegg. Also participating in the opening event is the neighboring Cassis—“a collective boutique where the South of France meets the American Riviera,” featuring a new exhibition by artist Caroline Hambright.
John Randall Nelson is a painter, sculptor, and printmaker whose emblematic and archetypal work has been shown in international exhibitions. He has completed commissions for the National Endowment for the Arts and the United States Postal Service.
Artist Brad Nack displays a mastery of palette, color and technique with a goal of creating “art that is free of pretense and based on a foundation of craft.” Nack’s whimsical animal depictions include his ongoing reindeer series.
The ceramic sculptures of artist Wesley Anderegg have been featured in dozens of major exhibitions across the United States and are held in numerous museums and public collections including the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
The Lobster Town U.S.A. Gallery features local as well as nationally prominent artists. The oceanside gallery space is located at the southeast end of Santa Claus Lane in the former “Porch” store. In the 1950s, the site was a seafood restaurant and lobster processing facility called Lobster Town U.S.A.
