Get on Board 2023 Solstice Party

Bring your visions for Solstice 2023 the 49th Annual Parade! Submit your 2023 theme idea to get a free raffle ticket. Enjoy appetizers from local restaurants, live music, a no host bar, face painting, performances by Solstice artists, and participate in an interactive community arts project “Memories in Motion.” Meet the Solstice Board of Directors, artists in residence, sponsors, and staff. If you missed this year’s parade, you can see highlights from the Parade on several screens. Costumes are encouraged.
Highlights include performances by Solstice performers including Mariano Silva and his Brazilian Batucada drummers, the Grooveshine band, Lark Batteau and more. There will be some special surprise announcements.
This is a great opportunity to have fun, share and explore how you can participate in and support community arts. You might be one of the thousands of spectators who enjoy the free Solstice Parade and Festival each year. You could be a potential Board member, one of next year’s paid professional staff – an artist, a mask-maker, a costumer or giant puppet maker – a techie, a mime, a media person, a mural artist, a business person, entrepreneur, a volunteer, an arts lover, or one of the many amazing “cultural creatives” seeking like-minded community in Santa Barbara.

This come-back year for the Parade and Festival was a fabulous display of our local talent, resourcefulness, and creativity. It was estimated that 70,000 spectators enjoyed the Festival and Parade! Your presence at this event and your input will support local community arts as we move forward to create this beloved world class festival in Santa Barbara.
