Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation is delighted to announce a special Saturday workshop on Compassionate Communication, featuring renowned nonviolent communication trainer Rev. Carlton E. Smith. This unique event will take place on February 17th, 2024 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, at the Live Oak campus located at 820 North Fairview Avenue in Goleta, California. This event is free, open to the community, and advance registration is required.
The workshop aims to explore the transformative possibilities of practicing Nonviolent Communication, as outlined in Marshall B. Rosenberg’s seminal work, “Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.” Participants will delve into methods that foster open hearts and break the cycle of hurtful communication.
