Kevin McKiernan’s new documentary, “From Wounded Knee to Standing Rock: A Reporter’s Journey” will premiere in Santa Barbara for a one-night screening on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 7 PM at the Marjorie Luke Theatre, 721 E. Cota Street, in Santa Barbara.

The film focuses of the legacy of Native activists who took part in the 71-day uprising at Wounded Knee in 1973, the longest civil disorder in U.S. history.

Santa Barbara filmmaker Kevin McKiernan is a veteran foreign correspondent, photographer and filmmaker whose coverage of American Indians has received national awards in the US, including a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize.
