SANTA BARBARA – The Winchester Canyon Gun Club will host a Community Safety Event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Winchester Canyon Gun Club, 6620 W. Camino Cielo, Santa Barbara, CA.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature safety demonstrations and information from Dr. Caleb Baily, Cottage ER Nurses and other agencies in coordination with National Church Safety Month. Experts will also be on hand to offer fire safety instructions, gun safety and much more.
“The Fall Safety Day is a great opportunity for all of us to learn more about protecting our families, ourselves and our property,” said Winchester Canyon Gun Club President, Dayton Aldrich. “We appreciate Dr. Baily, the Cottage Hospital ER Nurses and other local agencies working together to organize this new event to increase the public’s knowledge about the many ways we can help protect ourselves and our community. We would also like this event to facilitate engagement with our local law enforcement and fire agencies so the public can express their gratitude.”
The Fall Safety Day provides a great opportunity to talk to the community about how simple changes – like locking up guns, homes, and cars – can be powerful deterrents to crime. It will also provide an opportunity for law enforcement, fire personnel and staff to interact with the community to learn more about preparedness and education of a wide range of safety precautions.
Winchester Canyon Gun Club would like to thank Mission Security and Sol Wave Water for helping sponsor this important event. For additional information, please email president@wcgc.org.
