Our Lady of Mount Carmel School will celebrate its 35th Annual Auction and Dinner at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “An Evening of Gratitude” and the special honoree is John Palminteri of KEYT. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. and will include dinner, music, dancing, silent and live auctions, and a raffle.
“All the proceeds of this event directly benefit the school to keep tuition affordable and to provide scholarships for students in need,” said Tracie Simolon, Our Lady of Mount Carmel principal.
Founded in 1944, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Catholic school serving approximately 200 pre-K through 8th-grade students from the Santa Barbara area. The school offers a balanced curriculum that includes art, music, physical education, and technology, all taught by a highly qualified staff.
The evening’s special honoree, John Palminteri, helps lead a KEYT team that distinguished itself with tireless and courageous coverage of last winter’s disasters. With his colleagues, John, a veteran Southern California broadcast journalist, told Montecito’s story to the world. He is an active participant in many local charitable organizations and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
