Downtown Downspout to Tank workshop, Sat Nov 18
Join us on Saturday, Nov 18 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM as we connect a 265 gal Slimline tank to a downspout on a small cottage in downtown Santa Barbara. The cottage was repeatedly flooded during last winter’s rainy season. Redirecting the rain that falls onto the roof of this rental property so that won’t happen again is a priority before the rainy season begins. Register now.
The tank will also serve as supplemental water to nearby fruit trees and water storage for emergencies.
This will be a learning through doing workshop, as well as an educational experience. We will put in the tank and also look at water wise and sustainable living options for renters in our urban areas. Snacks, drinks, and tools will be provided. The workshop is free for volunteers/attendees. Sign up now to secure your spot.
