The Santa Barbara Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications will present Creating Your Own Sizzle Reel Video on Nov. 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. via Zoom. Facilitated by Erica Schweitzer, board member of the AWC-SB professional group, the Creating Your Own Sizzle Reel Video meeting will be an interactive workshop. Television producer and talent Rebecca Brand also will make a presentation.
A sizzle reel is a brief video that brings attention to something you want to promote, such as your work, an event, or a public relations campaign. Thanks to today’s technology, you don’t have to be a media pro to create this highly effective form of communications. On Nov. 4, Schweitzer will outline the essential ingredients for a memorable sizzle video, showcase some exceptional sizzle reels, and introduce her favorite free and low-cost tools. Brand will share her best tips for giving promotional videos extra sizzle.
To get the most out of the evening, attendees are invited to think about something they’d like to promote. There will be time for brainstorming during the breakout sessions, and, by the time the evening is over, participants will have fresh ideas about a powerful new way to make an impression on the audience they want to reach.
There is no cost to attend for AWC-SB members; the fee for non-members is $10. To register, visit https://www.womcom.org/content.aspx?page_id=4002&club_id=903060&item_id=1300860.
