Courageous Conversations for Outrageous Times

In celebration of Latinx Heritage Month, Santa Barbara City College presents “Courageous Conversations for Outrageous Times.” The first event in the series is Harry Gamboa Jr.’s “(Re) Exiled Lecture from the City State of Los Angeles to Santa Barbara,” Wednesday, September 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room A-211. He will be presenting his photos, videos and perceptions of the communities of the City State of Los Angeles. Harry Gamboa Jr. has been a cultural producer for decades presenting his work from New York City to Europe. Focusing on one of the most vibrate cultures in the world Gamboa creates images that empower Chicana/o Latina/o communities through a global lens
