The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women, a nonprofit group dedicated to the professional development of young conservative women, will host its Western Women’s Summit, 8 a.m. Oct. 13-noon Oct. 15, at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara. The Luce Center will host more than 100 student leaders from colleges across the country to hear from prominent conservative women, providing training and education to participants.
Attendees will hear from speakers including Mercedes Schlapp on the newly launched CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking, former University of Pennsylvania NCAA swimmer Paula Scanlan on her experience competing alongside transgender teammate Lia Thomas, and Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life activist Abby Johnson.
Students also will receive a tour of Rancho del Cielo, the historic home of former President Ronald Reagan, located 30 minutes from the Reagan Ranch Center.
Hotel costs for attendees are covered by the Luce Center from Oct. 12-15, and travel scholarships are available to those traveling from outside Southern California.
