Site Greeter — Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

United Way of Santa Barbara County is seeking additional volunteers, including students from local colleges, to join the VITA program as Site Greeters. Your job will be to welcome clients and guide them through the intake process. This volunteer-driven initiative plays a crucial role in helping local households with limited income receive the tax support they need.

The VITA program, accessible to Santa Barbara County residents earning $67,000 or less annually, has been instrumental in securing over $2 million in refunds for more than 3,000 local households each year.
