Who Will Win WWE Money in the Bank 2023?

By Sonika S.

Money in the Bank is WWE’s yearly Premium Live Event, and this year will be the 14th annual show. It is one of the biggest WWE’s shows of the year, right after the big four PLEs of WrestleMania, Summer Slam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. This year it will take place in London in The O2 Arena.

We will have plenty of matches on the show, from championship matches, single bouts, and tag team wrestling to two monumental Money in the Bank matches. One match will be for the men’s MitB briefcase and another for the women’s MitB briefcase.

What is Money in the Bank Match?

What is the Money in the Bank match? Well, it is basically a ladder match between a few superstars, usually between 6 and 8. All wrestlers need to climb the ladder and unhook the briefcase. Each step climbed is a representation of being that much closer to securing yourself a championship opportunity.

That is because the winner of the match who takes down with the briefcase will not receive money inside, but instead he or she will have a contract inside it that states that they can challenge any champion at any time once within a year’s time.

Who Will Win Men’s MitB Briefcase?

All participants in the match will come out to their entrance music, then the match will start. This year we know about a few confirmed participants already. Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura will be a part of the match. Omos also has a big chance of being in the match and even winning. He is a real giant who is 7 ft 3 in (221cn) tall. He is higher than some of the best NBA players. If he would be into basketball and you would be following best NBA lines – you would want him on his team due to his amazing physique. But he will be inside the squared circle when the bell rings.

In addition, either LA Knight or Montez Ford will also be a part of the match after their qualifying match on SmackDown. Matt Riddle was also announced for having a match in the future for being the next addition to the match.

There are rumors that Dominik Mysterio will also be a part of this match and he might have a huge chance at winning the match itself. Another great shout is Logan Paul who has been wrestling for WWE for over a year now on a part-time schedule. His last match was against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39.

If the participants turn out to be Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Matt Riddle, LA Knight, Dominik Mysterio and Logan Paul, our vote will go over to LA Knight. He has been more over than ever recently, to the point that WWE had to pipi in booing, because he was getting such a huge reaction from the fans. It might be Dominik Mysterio, with the help of Rhea Ripley, or Logan Paul because it would be cool for his character, but we will stick with LA Knight, YEAH!

Who Will Win Women’s MitB Briefcase?

As the women’s Money in the Bank match goes, we do not have any confirmed participants so far, but we have two qualifying matches announced for the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw and one for Friday Night Smackdown. So, we know that in the match there will be either Lacey Evans or Zelina Vega, either Natalya or Zoey Stark, and either Becky Lynch or Sonya Deville.

We think that Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, and Becky Lynch will qualify for the match in London. It will be a neat way of continuing Becky’s storyline with Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark, but that also means that they will most likely cancel each other out from the match, so neither will win it. We also do not see a high chance of winning the briefcase from Zelina Vega.

There were rumors about a potential return for Alexa Bliss, but they have since been dismissed by Alexa herself announcing her pregnancy on social media. Some other possible candidates include Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, Tegan Nox or Bayley. We have excluded some stars that will probably be involved in the Women’s Tag Team Championship match like Ronda Rousey or Shayna Baszler. There is also a chance that Damage CTRL in Bayley and Iyo Sky, as well as The Way of Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae will also be involved in the tag division.

In addition, Piper Niven and Tegan Nox haven’t been seen for a while on WWE TV, and this is why we predict that Candice LeRae will win this year’s women’s Money in the Bank briefcase. She was featured on TV for a while now and quite consistently, building up her storyline with Nikki Cross, and she also got a video package highlighting her to the newer audience who did not watch NXT. She is somewhat pushed towards the top of the women’s division and her run with the briefcase could mean a lot to her push.

It would also be nice to see her hold the briefcase for longer than a few days or hours, because for the past few years, almost every winner of women’s MitB ladder match has cashed in hours after winning the match and a longer run as a holder of the contract would be something fresh for the gimmick.
