StarCycle Launches Santa Barbara’s FIRST Dedicated Indoor Cycling Gym

StarCycle, a unique indoor cycling concept out of Portland, OR, is bringing Santa Barbara the area’s FIRST dedicated indoor cycling gym this Thursday, February 28th. The 2,300 sq. ft. state-of-the-art studio is located amongst the upscale shops at La Cumbre Plaza and features both free parking and on-site childcare for rider’s ultimate convenience.

StarCycle Santa Barbara is locally owned and operated by four longtime best friends and gym buddies, Kayla Neal, Dani Stone, Lara Mack and George Tharakan. The fitness-minded foursome met years ago at a local Santa Barbara gym and immediately bonded over their dedication to wellness and shared competitive drive. As well-rounded athletes, the friends noticed a gap in the Santa Barbara fitness space for a cycling gym and joined forces to bring Southern California its first StarCycle studio.

“I was introduced to StarCycle through my best friend, sorority sister and StarCycle Co-Founder, Erin Moone,” shares Stone.”We were blown away by the brand’s die-hard following and fiercely supportive community, and loved the focus on empowerment rather than exclusivity. When we decided to collectively act on our longtime dream of bringing a dedicated cycling gym to the Santa Barbara area, StarCycle was the immediate first choice. We couldn’t be more excited to establish StarCycle Santa Barbara as a place where clients come to find fulfillment, support, a great time, and of course an incredible workout.”

With the La Cumbre Plaza opening, Santa Barbara residents gain access to StarCycle’s low-impact, high-intensity proprietary indoor cycling method, carefully choreographed to work every muscle group in the body and push riders to their edge. Without leaderboards, stats, judgements or competition, riders check their technology and egos at the door to embark on a 45-minute meditative fitness journey, fueled by candlelight, a felt sense of community and badass beats. As part of StarCycle’s commitment to make working out easy and realistic for riders (especially moms) the studio will offer on-site child care through the brand’s StarKids program for just $5 per class.

StarCycle Santa Barbara opens on Thursday, February 28 at 130 S Hope Ave, La Cumbre Plaza with a full schedule of daily classes. For a limited time only, the studio is offering a lifetime founding member rate of $99 per month. Additionally, StarCycle Santa Barbara will celebrate its launch with a weekend of free rides Thursday, February 28th through Sunday, March 3rd.
