Edhat StaffThe Santa Barbara Police Department is now taking applications for the next English language Citizens Academy which will begin on October 9th, 2017. The Citizens Academy is a great way to learn about the Santa Barbara Police Department, police work, and our community. During the nine-week program participants will be exposed to police training, investigative techniques, and technology. They will also have the opportunity to sign up for the ride-along program with officers on patrol.
Classes will be held weekly on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until December 4th at the Westside Community Center. This program is very popular and class size is limited.
