(SANTA BARBARA, CA, June 28, 2017) — Outer Aisle Gourmet, LLC (OAG), the innovative creator of delicious, plant-based versions of many of America’s favorite foods, recently launched the nation’s first gluten-free, low-carb Cauliflower Sandwich Thins and Cauliflower Pizza Crusts/Wraps at all Whole Foods Market locations in the Rocky Mountain region, and will expand distribution of its ground-breaking products to all Whole Foods locations in the Southwest region this August.
Outer Aisle Gourmet’s products have been flying off the shelves at Whole Foods stores. The products are now available to health-conscious consumers in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Kansas and will be available in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas in August. “Our goal has always been to have national distribution of our products, and we are making this a reality as we move East into additional markets,” said Jeanne Foley David, Founder and CEO of OAG.
OAG was created in 2013 by David, a local health enthusiast, and her family, including her brother, famed former Broncos Defensive Back Steve Foley, who is a spokesperson for the company. Outer Aisle Gourmet pampers the palate and curbs the carb cravings with two revolutionary new products—a pizza crust/wrap and a bread substitute for sandwiches—that taste better than the traditional versions, yet are naturally gluten-free, low in calories, carbs, and fat, and are loaded with nutrients.
The secret? Each one is made from over 65% fresh cauliflower, transformed into a golden brown baked delicacy exclusively at Outer Aisle Gourmet’s Santa Barbara, California- based kitchen. “After tasting our Cauliflower Sandwich Thins and Cauliflower Pizza Crust, most people are surprised to learn that the main ingredient is fresh cauliflower,” says David. “And kids love them!” she added. With the tagline, “Vegetables in Disguise,” Outer Aisle’s products have proven exceedingly popular with children, who love the taste—and with parents who are grateful for a fun new way to get their children to eat more vegetables.
With a fraction of the calories and carbs of traditional bread and pizza crust, Outer Aisle Gourmet’s products are ideal for people trying to lose weight. These products are also recommended for people with specific dietary restrictions such as diabetes, inflammation concerns, and others trying to reduce processed carbs and/or gluten in their diets. “If you read the label closely, you will find that most gluten- free products are loaded with empty carbohydrates,”
says David. “Our nutrient-dense, plant-based Cauliflower Sandwich Thins and Cauliflower Pizza Crusts provide one and two full servings of vegetables per portion, are naturally gluten and nut-free, and have an amazingly low glycemic index.”
“We’re thrilled to be available to Whole Foods customers in the Rocky Mountain region now, and the Southwest soon,” says David. “Their stores are ideal for our products and they are the perfect partner to help us expand regionally, and eventually nationwide.”
