The City of Santa Barbara is offering gift certificates for the popular, “Locals’ Weekender Parking Permit,” just in time for the holidays! The permit offers Santa Barbara County residents six months of unlimited parking in any of the City’s Downtown Parking lots every Saturday and Sunday. The Locals’ Weekender gift certificates are available for purchase online or at the Downtown Parking office located at 1221 Anacapa Street.  Each certificate costs $100 and can be redeemed for a six-month permit.

Residency restrictions apply for permit eligibility. The recipient will need to provide one of the following items for proof of residency to redeem the gift certificate and obtain the permit:

  • Current (past 60 days) utility bill showing applicant’s name and eligible mailing address (not service address).
  • Proof of home ownership or active lease agreement at an eligible address in the applicant’s name.
  • Valid vehicle registration or driver’s license showing eligible address and applicant’s name.

The Locals’ Weekender Parking Permit is the perfect gift for those on your list who enjoy going downtown on the weekends for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

To purchase gift certificates, buy a permit for yourself, and to view the locations of City Downtown Parking Lots, visit: SantaBarbaraCA.gov/WeekenderPermit.
