ABOUT THE BAND
KIRSTIN CANDY-MCFARLAND’s musical career began when her college band, Circus Frequency, landed a demo deal from Warner Brothers, which helped put her on the map. Later, Kirstin recorded several solo albums (Fearless in 1996, 4 Good Mondays in 1999), and landed a record deal of her own in 2000. Through her collaboration with legendary Producer, Don Smith, she recorded at Rumbo Studios in Studio City, with such notables as Ron Blair and Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Her first national releases (Another Sweet Mess and an acoustic album, Glimpse) came out in 2002 with distribution via BMG. She and her band toured major cities from San Francisco to New York to promote these releases, leading to the placement of several singles in film and TV. Later, Kirstin released La Vie en Rouge in 2005 and Let The Light In in 2010. Upon returning to Santa Barbara in 2010, Kirstin joined the triathlon club which led to her meeting not only the love of her life, Jerrett McFarland, but also her musical soul brother, Billy Mandarino.
BILLY MANDARINO is an artist, musician, and business owner. Billy experienced a flash of enlightenment, one very unusual day on a golf course. A mystical series of synchronistic events led him to find his ultimate calling: teaching, speaking, and sharing his inspiration and love of The Now-ist with the world. He takes his Now-ist perspective with him as a member of In The Present Tense.
