“With her comprehensive experience with oversight of the Foodbank’s funding operations, she is a natural to step into the role of Vice Chair,” said the organization’s Chief Executive Officer Erik Talkin. “We look forward to her contributions to the board broadening in her new role.”

In addition to distributing fresh produce and other food, the Foodbank tackles food insecurity by educating community members about healthy eating. The organization is also a leader in countywide disaster preparedness, spearheading initiatives including disaster food boxes, a disaster feeding plan, establishing a new south county warehouse, and updating trucks for safer food storage and transport.
In addition to supporting the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, Olson is a sustaining member of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art Women’s Board. She holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Arizona, and is passionate about helping others with their financial needs.
