Los representantes del Consejo Asesor participan de forma voluntaria para compartir sus ideas y experiencias y actuar como voceros de la comunidad. Sus aportes ayudan a dar forma a los programas y servicios mientras garantizan que se tenga en cuenta y se valore la opinión de aquellos que se ven directamente afectados por las decisiones que se toman en cuanto a la atención a la salud.
Instamos a que se postulen los candidatos que cumplan con los siguientes requisitos:
- Haber sido paciente o el cuidador de un paciente dentro de los últimos dos años.
- Sentir entusiasmo por ayudar a que los demás tengan la mejor experiencia posible como
pacientes. - Tener disponibilidad para participar en las reuniones trimestrales, ya sea en Santa Barbara o de forma virtual.
Se compensarán los gastos de transporte y cuidado de niños a los representantes del Consejo Asesor cuando deban asistir a las reuniones, y se les ofrecerá comida.

Volunteer Opportunity for Community Members to Help Improve Healthcare for All
Cottage Health invites community members to help shape the future of healthcare in Santa Barbara County by participating in the Spanish Patient and Family Advisory Council.
Advisory council representatives volunteer their time to share their experiences and ideas and serve as a voice for the community. Their input helps shape programs and services while ensuring that the voices of those directly impacted by healthcare decisions are heard and valued.
Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Current or former patients, or caregivers of a patient, within the last two years.
- Enthusiastic about helping others have the best possible patient experience.
- Available to participate in quarterly meetings (either in Santa Barbara or online).
Advisory council representatives will be reimbursed for transportation and childcare expenses incurred during meetings, with meals provided.
