Local financial planning firm Arlington Financial Advisors marked a major milestone in the company’s growth in December: surpassing $1 billion in client assets.

The achievement comes as the company celebrates its 13th year in business serving the Santa Barbara community. Members of the Arlington Financial team, including partners Joe Weiland, Arthur Swalley, John Lorenz, Dianne Duva, Wells Hughes, and Cody Makela, celebrated the firm’s accomplishments with clients and friends recently at their historic offices on De la Guerra.

“I am immensely proud of the results that our team has been able to achieve. I am particularly proud of the fact that we have reached this milestone one client at a time,” said Managing Partner Joseph Weiland, CFP. “We formed this firm in 2010 to allow our team to provide trusted advice and financial peace of mind for our clients. They have responded with loyalty and sharing our services with their family and friends. There is no better way to build a business.”

Arlington Financial Advisors was founded by a group of long-time financial professionals determined to provide high quality, independent financial advice to Santa Barbara-area families and institutions. As a Registered Investment Advisor, the company is held to a fiduciary standard that requires its team to provide clients with a full explanation of their investing options and to only make recommendations that favor the client’s best interest.

With deep local roots, Arlington manages assets for nearly 400 local and national clients. The firm’s location in Santa Barbara’s historic Arlington Corner symbolizes its deep commitment to the community and its heritage. In addition to serving individuals and businesses, the company supports more than 30 nonprofits and local causes.

Arlington offers handcrafted, highly personalized advice across the full spectrum of financial matters, from retirement planning to intergenerational issues to business asset purchase decisions. The firm has a disciplined, rigorous service model featuring thorough preparations for every meeting and a structured program addressing 4 key topics throughout the year: net worth planning, estate planning, investments and taxes.

The company serves a wide range of clients including business owners, families, educated professionals, retirees, surviving spouses, newly wealthy tech professionals, and the newly divorced. In addition to working directly with clients, the firm reaches out to the broader community to provide information about financial matters, including through a radio show that features live conversations on important personal finance topics.
