Non-profit organizations in Santa Barbara County are invited to apply for a grant of up to $1,500 through the Montecito Rotary Foundation’s 2020 Community Grants Program.
Funded by bequests and ongoing contributions from members of the Rotary Club of Montecito, the Montecito Rotary Foundation awards grants each year to qualifying local, non-profit organizations working to support the Santa Barbara community. Past grants have contributed to maintaining historical sites, supporting social service and cultural organizations, and preserving the local environment.

Individual grants range from $1,000 to $1,500. Applicants must be registered as 501(c)(3) organizations, and preference is given to entities or projects that serve the Montecito area specifically. Grants may only fund future projects, not those that have already been completed, and cannot be used for capital projects or to provide general operating support.
The deadline for applications is September 15th.

A member of the Rotary Club of Montecito must sponsor each grant request and be personally engaged in some capacity with the organization. This could be as a volunteer, donor, committee member or board member.

Past Community Grants have benefitted a wide range of local recipients, including the Santa Barbara Choral Society, Habitat for Humanity, the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, and Carpinteria Valley Little League. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $50,000 in assistance to the Santa Barbara community.

Founded in 1996, The Rotary Club of Montecito Foundation is the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Montecito, which supports the efforts of Rotary International in achieving world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs.

Rotary is a network of more than 35,000 Clubs in almost every country. The organization has 1.2 million members who come together to complete service projects to make positive, lasting change in their communities.
