The 26th Annual Mental Health Arts Festival, a longstanding community event hosted by the Mental Wellness Center, has been reimagined this year into a virtual celebration.

Please join the Mental Wellness Center online as they honor the work of talented artists and celebrate the power of creative expression. You can participate in this year’s virtual celebration by visiting mentalwellnesscenter.org/mhaf.

Mandi has participated in the Mental Health Arts Festival for the past five years. “The hard times I’ve been through makes this event so special to myself and the art I create. It is one of the blessings that has helped my mental wellness instead of mental illness,” she commented.

The Mental Wellness Center works to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health diagnoses. The Mental Health Arts Festival furthers these goals by highlighting the unique talents of artists living with mental health challenges.

“Although we are not able to gather in person this year, we are excited that the Mental Health Arts Festival can have a greater reach from its online platform. This event offers a unique opportunity for individuals living with a mental illness to exhibit their creative talents, enhance their self-esteem, and be perceived as worthy and valuable members of our community,” said Darcy Keep, Mental Wellness Center Board Member and Arts Festival Chair.

Elizabeth is a featured artist this year and shared, “At the Mental Wellness Center, I have found an incredible group of people who remind me continuously that I am never alone in my struggles.”
