PROJECT TITLE: Watermain Replacement Fiscal Year 2018 – La Cumbre Road
PROJECT OVERVIEW: During construction, you will notice heavy equipment, construction workers, restricted parking areas, and traffic at the construction sites (see map). The City’s contractor (Tierra) will carry out necessary temporary traffic control measures, such as detours and reduced speed zones, in order to allow vehicles and pedestrians to safely pass the construction site.
You will be able to access your driveway, but there may be short delays as construction equipment is being moved. During construction hours, Monday – Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., you can expect noise from construction vehicles and equipment. Work within the intersection of La Cumbre and State Street will take place Monday – Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Your water service may be disrupted while you are being connected to the new water main. You will receive a letter or door hanger with details about the date and duration of the shutdown, one day in advance of the proposed disruption.
PROJECT BENEFITS: The City is replacing old water features, piping, valves, and hydrants to reduce risk of water main breaks and conserve water.
