Police Arrested Alleged Gang Member for Attempted Murder

Re: People v. Mario Alberto Hernandez-Pacheco, Case No. 18CR07520

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that on August 3, 2018, Mario “Sad Boy” Hernandez-Pacheco was arrested by the Santa Barbara Police Department on an arrest warrant for attempted murder, robbery and felony assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.

It is further alleged that all of these crimes were committed in association with the Eastside criminal street gang. Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with these crimes.

Mr. Hernandez-Pacheco is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 8:30 am in Dept. 8 of the Santa Barbara Superior Court.
