It is Carpinteria-Summerland FD. They are dispatched by Montecito FD. 911 calls from cell phones go to CHP (Ventura in this case) and are rerouted to what they think is the correct dispatcher. Montecito’s rig numbers are 70s, Carp’s are 60s. Roger’s “25 mile” reach has nothing to do with it.

I was just saying it only had that far of a reach because according to the company that is all it has sometimes I hear those calls most of the time I don’t…As far as scanners go this one sucks.
“Ugh, jetskis.” Tell that to the rescuers. Fire Departments hereabouts use two water-rescue specialists on a “jetski” with a towed float for missions where the paddleboard isn’t appropriate.
Montecito’s antenna is about four miles away from you, Roger. Their priority on your scanner is apparently well below that of City and County frequencies.
