Three suspects captured on surveillance video

Over the weekend, three men circled one of iPower’s buildings, moving two visible security cameras and surveying the merchandise through the front window. They arrived Sunday evening and spent considerable time studying the windows and doors around the business. Security footage has been submitted to the local Sheriff’s office for immediate investigation.
Co –Owner of iPower, Christina Prins, says, “Carpinteria is generally a really safe place, and law enforcement has been very active in helping to find the individuals responsible. We want other businesses in the area to be aware and also ask that if anyone has any information that they submit it to the Sheriff’s office to help them investigate.”
The individuals were recorded actively trying to manipulate the security and camera system and the Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of any or all these individuals.

Horsegirl – you want to “get them” for something, anything. Why not just wait for more facts first?
Who am I to get them? I’m just a commenter on some local news site. All i did was answer the questions you asked with a possible explanation for why the activity was deemed suspicious and why it would be posted. Get over yourself
They do look similar. Maybe they are brothers or even cousins.
Since when is it illegal to look through a store’s windows? Sure, these guys may be shady but an investigation? And public distribution of security photos? What the heck is “manipulation of a security camera”? If found, what crime are they going to be charged?
the first sentence says they moved the security cameras. i presume they can get them because moving security cameras shows clear intent to commit a crime, which is a factor in prosecuting burglary charges. Maybe they could just get them for trespassing for now
Looking through windows and touching the cameras are nothing a good lawyer can’t handle. And the photos that the shop publicly provided to Edhat are very clear and the guys recognizable. If the guys have not been charged with a crime…the distribution of these photos may be a big no-no.
i agree its not a solid case, but the case can be there nonetheless. it also appears that they have already talked to the sheriff department, who likely ok’ed posting them. “Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of any or all these individuals”
Horsegirl – since when is moving security cameras a “clear intent to commit a crime?” There are many reasons they could have messing with them. You always seem to jump so quickly to “prosecuting” people based on scant facts.
I can’t really think of a good, not legally questionable reason that people unknown to a business would have to move their security cameras, but please enlighten me if you do. Also, I am not jumping to “prosecute”, but simply reacted to your questions. If you read what I wrote, I actually agreed with you, but said that the case “can” be there as in COULD
