This beautiful hawk appears in our yard from time-to-time, sometimes grabbing lunch on the fly in the form of a small bird or lizard and drinking languidly from our bird baths.
Yesterday he or she was eyeing a freshly-minted Western Brush Rabbit which proliferates in our neighborhood.
For those of you who skip right to the last page of a mystery novel, here is the denouement: Little Bunny has lived to frolic another day. Whew!
