The body that was found on an Isla Vista beach last weekend has been identified as a 20-year-old UC Santa Barbara student.
Authorities have identified Allesandro Esquivel from Downey as the deceased man that was found at 9:30 a.m. on October 20.
Toxicology and lab results have yet to be released but authorities feel no foul play is suspected.
Esquivel’s friends and family created a GoFundMe account to help with funeral costs.
“He was a wonderfully loving and funny young man who had overcome many obstacles with his positive attitude,” the family stated.
