I have been told by several people that Ace Hardware is moving into the Orchard Supply building, but I cannot find any information that corroborates this “rumor”. Does anyone have information?

Ace Hardware already has a presence in Goleta at Channel City Lumber. Ugh…won’t step foot in that place. But it’s unlikely that Ace would have two outlets in the same town. Completely unsubstantiated, but my bet is on a small Tractor Supply or a sporting goods shop. Time for a haircut? Ask Tim at Fairview Barbers. He will have the scoop.
Why would ACE give up the location that they probably own, in downtown SB, to assume a high priced lease on the OSH location? If I’m going to drive out to Goleta, I can just keep going to Home Depot. Doesn’t seem like a sensible move to me.
Hope not…
Just before they closed, one of the OSH cashiers told me that Lowe’s was considering opening a ‘mini Lowe’s at the OSH location.
No one even implied that Ace would leave its SB location.
Ace hardware will be partnering with bristol farms and taking over World of Magic downtown
The number 1 Ace in the country cuz there’s no other hardware in SB with the variety they have move to Goleta…whoa, if you believe that rumor I’ll have some of what you’re smoking.
It’s going back to Builders Emporium.
Plus True Value, Aces’ main competition is less than a mile away as the corvid flies. I’ve always had nothing but friendly service there even when ordering on line and picking up there as I’ve gotten several things from True Value that were such good deals ( large items ) it was worth driving out there rather than having them shipped to our house.
