Last night just before 6:00 PM Officers responded to the report of an injury traffic collision in the 1400 Block of S. Broadway. Officers arrived and found an 85-year-old adult male pedestrian down in the Southbound lanes of Broadway with major injuries. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The release of the identity of the deceased is pending notification of next of kin.
Several witnesses and involved parties at the scene provided important information for the investigation and we are continuing to look for anyone else that may have witnessed this collision and not already spoken with officers to contact Officer Javier Velazquez at (805) 928-3781 Ext. 1338.
