On Wednesday and Thursday, there has been a ton of traffic in Carpinteria to Santa Barbara starting in the afternoon and continuing to rush hour. Even the side streets are backed up. It opens up at the S Curve area and there seems to be no reason. This is not normal. Any clues as to what is going on?
1. its always bad on the 101 between montecito to ventura.
2. its the holidays, everyone is traveling
3. thank montecito for fighting a 3 lane freeway expansion for years and years….. this is what causes this
