Police Investigate Double Hit and Run Incidents

Santa Barbara Police officers had calls of two hit and run incidents just a few blocks away from each other Saturday night.   

They found a man near the second accident scene leaving the area by Helena Street and Cabrillo Boulevard.  A field sobriety check was done and an arrest was made.  Nearby, a badly damaged van was located.   The first reported hit and run was in the area of Laguna and Gutierrez streets. 

Despite the rain, the area had many people in the Funk Zone on foot and driving where the second crash took place.
