We received a notification from Elings Park this morning that a mountain lion was spotted near the hang glider area of the park. Be careful while hiking and walking off leash with pets.

Almost always misidentified bobcat.
Highly doubt this was a Mountain lion. As 7473 stated, many people don’t know a Mt. lion from a smaller wild cat. Or they think Bobcats and Mt. lions are the same thing.
ELINGS, not Eling’s.
Without a photo or a Cal Fish & Wildlife report it’s really hard to give a JQPublic sighting a lot of weight.
