It seems like the short term rental rules (for AirBnB, Vrbo, etc) are changing or might change soon and it’s a bit confusing. What are the current rules for using a home as an AirBnB in the City of Santa Barbara and possibly the county? Will these rules change soon or are they pretty fixed for now?
Everything is subject to change especially with fickle public opinion.
OP, if you’re looking to rent out as Airbnb, good luck. If you’ve got neighbors like mine, you’re barely able to rent long-term without the stupid neighbors sneering about “renters.”
