Rex is correct, at least in marine (admiralty) parlance. An “Allision” occurs when a moving object strikes a stationary one. “Collision” means both parties are/were moving. Important distinction when on the water, not so much on land…

Actually, it’s not a collision. A collision is when two MOVING objects run into each other. This incident in question apparently occurred when a moving vehicle ran into the traffic light. Most definitely not a collision.
